The Crew back on track…so is the blog.
By: TrivDaddy | September 25th, 2007With the comeback victory over Toronto FC this past weekend and four games left in the season, the Crew still has a shot at the playoffs. Granted, after this week with a home game against a cellar dwelling Galaxy club, there will be a tough road ahead. On the upside, the Fire has a similar if not more difficult finale to the season than the Crew. On the down side, the Rapids have a slightly easier schedule in the remaining weeks that may be enough to push them ahead of their Eastern Conference counterparts. This is surely going to be a photo finish for that last spot in the playoffs.
I am heading to Columbus from my HQ in Indiana to check out the Crew in action against the Galaxy. I will have a day after game report and have a middle of the week blog about the atmosphere of the “Black out the Galaxy” that will hopefully be spirited despite the lack of a certain Galaxy player, Edson Buddle. Hopefully his hamstring will be better in time for the kick off. I’d hate for him to disappoint the fans.
BTW, in case you didn’t know, I’m Brian. I’ve taken over this blog with the hope that it will help Crew supports rally around a team that has come from the bottom of the league to (hopefully) making the playoffs. I’m open to suggestions and ideas for the blog. If you have any, post a comment and let me know what you’re thinking.
