Crew @ Dallas Preview
By: Kristina | June 19th, 2009The Crew are headed down South this weekend to visit the sister club FC Dallas. The team is red- hot and are coming off a win against Chivas USA last weekend. As for Dallas they are coming from a loss against Houston which ended their unbeaten streak. Schelotto is currently at the top of the Golden Boot standings with 10 goals. Will he score some more to clinch the top with only 6 games left until All-Star break? Shall we expect Hejduk back in the lineup? I mean last match we saw Carroll with is lumpy shoulder so why not Hejduk? As for Dallas they are still missing their starting keeper Dario Sala due a Left Knee injury so expect the former OSU keeper Ray Burse Jr to start. Then again aren’t the Crew still missing Hesmer? According to thecrew.com Hesmer is still out so we shall see “Hebrew Hammer” Gruenebaum to start. The match will be quite interesting to see since both of these clubs are going to play out. The standings currently show that the Crew are tied for 3rd place but one less played game with Chicago, Kansas and TFC. A win will push the boys closer to 2nd place. As for FC Dallas they are 2nd to last and need a must win if they have any playoff hopes. Will the former Crew player Jeff Cunningham help the club win? I guess we have to wait and see how the match plays out tomorrow night.
**post game post will be on Sunday. won’t be in town for the write up**
