Crew Season Ends on High Note
By: TrivDaddy | October 23rd, 2007With the last two season games done with, the Crew finish both with 3-2 victories over Eastern Conference Rivals New England and DC. I decided to hold off on my blogging because the more I followed the Crew the worse they seemed to perform. Didn’t blog, two wins. I’m just very unlucky when it comes to teams I support.
With this late season win streak they went on, they missed the playoffs by just the hair of their chins. This gives me some hope for the next season. They went out and won two games that could have had an impact if one or two hadn’t slipped away earlier on this season. That home loss to Chicago hurts all the more.
The Crew have turned around from the last place team in the league in 2006, to a playoff contender this season. They need to make the playoffs next year. I think they will be very capable of this. With the Glidden money coming in, lets hope to see some big player moves in the off season.
I will have some updates on who leaves for the expansion team and on the daft. I am going to try to get a podcast up and running at least weekly with (hopefully) some player interviews on either the podcast or on the blog. If there is anything you think I need to look into, or keep track of, let me know. I’m always open for suggestions.
So, in closing for this Crew season, all I can say, is I can’t wait to see what happens next year. I’ll keep posting for you and I’ll try out the podcast during the playoffs here in the next few weeks. Stay tuned…
