Injury Updates
By: Matt | April 9th, 2009
The Crew are back in Ohio after a two game West coast road trip, but the Obetz Training facility resembles a medical ward rather than a practice facility. So many of the key pieces for the Crew are coming back to the Midwest with various knocks and injuries, or as like to call them “ouchies”, and their status for this weekend’s match against Colorado. Frankie Hejduk picked up a hamstring “ouchie” during his play with the United States National Team in their match against Trinidad and Tobago. Officially, Hejduk is listed as “questionable” for the match on Saturday, but Crew trainer Jason Mathews believes that Captain Frank will be out for two weeks. Up and coming winger Robbie Rogers also picked up an ouchie to his hamstring in the Crew’s first match against Toronto. Rogers did not practice yesterday and is also questionable for Saturday’s match. Chad Marshall is also questionable, but Marshall was able to practice yesterday after an elbow to the head against Chivas, which left him with concussion like symptoms. Marshall has had a history of concussions before. Marshall is having tests today to determine if he does have a concussion, as his career might be in question if he were to have another concussion. Hopefully the talented defender is able to continue his promising career.
